About Rotterdam Library - Central Library
The Rotterdam Central Library is located in the Laurenskwartier in the center of Rotterdam. Since 1983, the library has been located in a modern building on Hoogstraat. It is a striking building with steel pipes running from the roof down along the glass facade. The library was designed by the Van den Broek and Bakema architectural firm. The way the building is designed is regularly compared to the Center Pompidou in Paris.
