As the main partner organisation for Rotterdam, we manage and implement the city marketing in order to attract international businesses, conferences and visitors.

Who we are and what we do

We are Rotterdam Partners. Rotterdam is at the heart of everything we do. We are proud of Rotterdam. Together with our partners, we aim to achieve a future-proof and resilient economy in Rotterdam. To do so, we work hard every day to position Rotterdam as an attractive city. This has enabled us to welcome an average of 50 new businesses, 30 business conferences and 1 million day-trippers every year. Some examples of the impact we generate with and for the city. In this way contribute to an attractive entrepreneurial climate and a liveable and vibrant city for residents of Rotterdam.

Our strategy

In the coming years, we will be focusing on three strategic pillars:

✔️ Leading in the international positioning of the city: we will bring our marketing expertise to the relevant stakeholders in order to realise an integrated strategy and implementation. This will enable us to enhance the international marketing and sales clout of the city. We tell stories through the appropriate channels to reach and excite our target groups in the business and leisure market about Rotterdam.

✔️ Value creation for Rotterdam businesses and organisations: we focus our acquisition and sales on attracting international companies and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions & Exhibitions), which contribute to a resilient Rotterdam economy and the economic transitions of the city. We also promote multi-day stays that reflect Rotterdam’s tourist-related ambitions. We support the development and expansion of businesses in the city. We also help them with their internationalisation plans.

✔️ Reliable and connecting partner: we bring together Rotterdam stakeholders with an international focus and encourage or stimulate joint initiatives. Through our expertise relating to (international) visitors, data, strategic acquisition and our independent role, we support and guide our partners where necessary.

Our networks

We believe in the power of collaboration. We are key operators within a large number of networks with national, regional and urban partners subscribing to our joint mission to move the city forward. Our networks operate in various citywide themes: City marketing; Tourism, Congresses & Corporate Events; Economy; Governance.

Many of our partners are connected to our partner model ‘Connect to Rotterdam & Partners’. Along with around 150 partners, we promote Rotterdam’s international marketing and acquisition and its hospitality towards visitors. Our partner network is extensive, active, engaged and always looking for new connections and partnerships.

Our teams

Our expertise is bundled in six small teams, each with its own focus on services and target groups. As well as these teams, we have programme managers who support colleagues in activities through temporary projects. For example, the programme manager for Employee Experience is responsible for developing the organisation as an attractive employer, while the Rotterdam Experience programme manager ensures an optimal Rotterdam Experience for visitors to the city.
