About Nieuwe Luxor Theater
The Nieuwe Luxor Theater next to the Erasmus Bridge – opened its doors in April 2001. The modern building, decked out in theatrical red, is at the start of the Wilhelminapier in the Kop van Zuid district. The Nieuwe Luxor Theater can also be used as a congress and event venue.
The Nieuwe Luxor has a theatre auditorium, three foyers and a VIP Lounge. The foyers can hold from 30 to 800 people for a dinner or congress and the auditorium, from 250 to 1,535. The latter has fixed theatre seating and a large stage. The three spacious foyers with their high windows lend themselves to staging receptions, lunches and dinners. These can take place around a performance. When no performance is taking place, the stage can be used for dinner with entertainment or a workshop for example on cookery. An after-party with live music and fireworks is another possibility.
Luxor Theater Rotterdam is right next to Wilhelminaplein metro station and the tram also stops more or less outside the building. Cars can be parked in one of the nearby parking garages.
