About Chabot Museum Rotterdam
Henk Chabot
The Chabot Museum manages one of the most important collections of painter and sculptor Henk Chabot (1894-1949), a Dutch expressionist. As a painter of farmers and gardeners, of the Dutch landscape and during the war years of refugees and people in hiding, Chabot has his own place in Dutch modern art.
Monumental white villa
The museum is housed in the monumental white villa from 1938 that, like Huis Sonneveld, the Van Nelle Factory and Stadion Feijenoord, is one of the highlights of the Nieuwe Bouwen era. That is why the museum also organizes guided tours of the UNESCO World Heritage Van Nelle Factory every weekend.
Museum Quarter
The Chabot Museum is located in the Museum Quarter, at the Museum Park and can be reached by metro, tram line 7 or 20 (stop Eendrachtsplein). From Rotterdam Central Station it is about a 10-minute walk. The Museum Park parking garage is diagonally opposite the Chabot Museum.
Groups of up to 15 people can be guided by an expert guide. Reservations are required.
