architour organizes guided tours of architecture and urban planning for professional groups. Tailor-made excursions are given in Rotterdam, Amsterdam and other cities. All guides are experienced local architects, who explain spatial developments and construction practice in the Netherlands.
The team
The team in Rotterdam consists of five local architects, who provide guides in English, Dutch, German and French. The tours last from half a day to several days and can be given on foot, by bicycle, by public transport or by bus. Combination tours are also offered, where you can explore several Dutch cities in a few days.
Popular programs
The most popular programs in Rotterdam include an introductory tour through the center, with modern classics and contemporary icons such as the station and the Markthal, but also a tour about innovative housing construction and a program about water management and climate adaptation, which includes experimental designs for public space come.
The customers
architour’s customers include international architectural firms, municipalities, project developers, architectural associations, cultural clubs, housing associations and universities. A range of ready-to-book tours is available, but architour also designs programs based on your needs, including meet-ups with Dutch creators and decision takers and logistics surrounding the tours. In addition, there is also an option for lectures (which can be booked separately or as part of a tour) and the production of audio tours.
