WCGALP congress 2022 to be held in Rotterdam

The permanent international committee of the World Congress of Genetics Applied to Livestock Production (WCGALP) has chosen Rotterdam to host the next WCGALP congress in 2022. The congress will be held at De Doelen International Congress Center and is expected to attract 1,400 delegates from all over the world.

Rotterdam was awarded the 2022 congress based on a joint bid by Roel Veerkamp and Yvette de Haas of Wageningen University and Research, with support from Breed4Food, PCO Congress by Design, Rotterdam Partners and Wageningen Academic Publishers.

The bidbook for WCGALP was presented to the permanent committee at the recent WCGALP (11-16 February in Auckland, New Zealand) by a delegation which included Dutch Ambassador to New Zealand, Mr. Rob Zaagman. About WCGALP

WCGALP is the premier international event for researchers and professionals involved in genetic improvement of livestock. Delegates from around the world gather every four years at WCGALP to attend the scientific program and to network with colleagues. WCGALP 2022 will be organized by Wageningen University and Research in collaboration with the Breed4Food partners CRV, Cobb Europe, Topigs-Norsvin and Hendrix Genetics.
