Rotterdam Maritime Capital of Europe present at Sea Asia 2019 in Singapore

Rotterdam is known as the largest port in Europe and being Europe’s Maritime Capital. Our strategic location near the North Sea, Atlantic and major European rivers, has led to the development of a world-class cluster of maritime expertise, backed up by centuries of experience in shipping and trade. The Rotterdam of today is the centre of maritime innovation attracting companies and talent from all over the world.

We will be present at the Holland Pavilion at the Sea Asia 2019 Conference & Exhibition from 9 to 11 April to promote Rotterdam’s strong maritime ecosystem. Sea Asia is Asia’s anchor maritime and offshore event with close to 15,000 international participants, held in conjunction with the Singapore Maritime Week from 6 to 14 April. It is the leading platform for the industry to explore business opportunities and the conference features high-profile international speakers addressing critical issues and potential solutions from a commercial perspective. The Port of Rotterdam will share its thought leadership in the session about applications of blockchain technology in shipping.

Holland Lounge

On the 10th of April, a network reception for international companies will be hosted in the Holland Lounge. This is a joint collaboration between the Dutch Embassy, NFIA, NMT, MedAssist.online, SSA, Port of Rotterdam and Rotterdam Partners. Trade Promotion Manager at the Netherlands Maritime Technology (NMT) Marjan Lacet will open the event followed by speeches of Dutch Ambassador Margriet Vonno and President of the Singapore Shipping Association (SSA) Esben Poulsson. Our colleague Claudia Stolk will share why Rotterdam is the ideal business location and the maritime capital of Europe.
