About the congress

Immersive Tech Week is organized by the VRDays Europe Foundation with the goal to accelerate immersive technologies. How can XR (extended reality), VR (virtual reality) and AR (augmented reality) drive the economy forward and contribute to a resilient future? During an insightful five-day program of the event, these questions will be discussed. The 8th Rotterdam edition of the event is created in partnership with the City of Rotterdam, Creative Europe Media, de Doelen ICC and Rotterdam Partners.

Rotterdam as host city

Rotterdam, an innovative city with a strong entrepreneurial ecosystem and one of the most prominent IT & Tech sectors in the country makes an ideal host city for the Immersive Tech Week. In addition, Rotterdam is taking a frontrunner role in information technologies, cyber resilience and digital infrastructure. Next to that, strong knowledge and research institutions form a unique IT & Tech hub in Europe.

The greater Rotterdam region is home to the largest university hospital Erasmus MC, Erasmus University Rotterdam, as well as the Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences, Delft University of Technology and Leiden University, which attract international talent to the region. Rotterdam is also home to exciting new talent and innovation hubs such as the IT Campus.
