About Koninklijke Spido
Spido offers boat tours and day trips in Rotterdam the whole year round. Boats leave from the quay next to the Erasmus Bridge. It started out in 1931 as a boat transport company but, after the Second World War, it continued as a boat tours firm. Now, it has a fleet of five vessels which can also be hired for business events.
The largest vessel, the James Cook, can hold up to 250 people when the lower-level saloon is set up as a theatre and up to 350 for a dining event (250 on the lower level and 100 on the upper level). The space has a ceiling height of 2.20 metres to the upper level floor and 5 metres to the upper-level ceiling.
Arrangements can be made for catering and entertainment. An event can be combined with a visit to the SS Rotterdam, the Euromast, the De Kuip football stadium or the Maeslantkering storm surge barrier. Visits can also be made to various companies in the creative industry such as the Creative Factory and Spark Design & Innovation.
The Spido booking office is in the Scheepvaartkwartier district five minutes walk from Leuvehaven metro station and various tram lines. There is free parking for coaches and a parking garage for cars just outside.
