Rotterdam Partners management team welcomes three new executives

Together with managing director Wilbert Lek, Eveline van den Pluijm (Convention Bureau & Tourism Board manager) and Jeroen Schreurs (Business Management manager) they constitute the new management team of Rotterdam Partners.

The three new managers were already working for the organisation: Ingrid van Hanswijk Pennink was working as a strategic advisor within Rotterdam Partners, Jorn Douwstra as a business manager for International Trade & Investments and Judith Boer as a media officer and strategic communication advisor.

The management team will shortly be augmented further by a manager responsible for Marketing & Communication, as well as a Rotterdam Experience & Hospitality manager. In addition to these new faces, the management team of Rotterdam Partners has also been restructured. The new organisational structure is part of a wider change within Rotterdam Partners.

Managing director Wilbert Lek: ‘Over the past few months, we – as Rotterdam Partners – have jointly taken the first steps towards a new and better organisational model in order to achieve a structure that will better reflect the aspirations of Rotterdam Partners in the year 2020. This puts an end to a structure that was logical at the time of merger in 2014, but which is no longer appropriate. With this in mind, we went back to the drawing board with our colleagues, as it were, and we now have a widely supported organisational model in place which, I am sure, will facilitate even more convincingly the putting of Rotterdam on the map.

The renewed structure consists of smaller teams with purposeful expertise, headed by specialists who, in addition to their leadership, will also be active in implementation. The three new managers, each with many years of experience in their field, stem from the organisation itself, so I am really thrilled to see Ingrid, Jorn and Judith joining the leadership team. Thanks to their appointment, we now have a management team that provides a comprehensive mix of expertise, experience, drive and love of Rotterdam. Together with them and all colleagues, I look forward to making Rotterdam Partners even better and stronger’.
