Rotterdam host city for Ecocity World Summit in September 2021

Rotterdam is known as a city that shows vision, courage, and perseverance; as a strong, assertive, and resilient city. In order to maintain this level of resilience in the future, the city factors in the opportunities and risks of new developments. Resilience is the new robust. Rotterdam does all that is within its power over the next few years to enhance the city’s resilience – to shape our urban future!

On 27-28 September Rotterdam will host Ecocity World Summit, with parts of the hybrid event taking place online (29-30 September). Ecocity 2021 is about urban transformations for nature-based solutions and is therefore a perfect match with the city of Rotterdam, where resilient, sustainable and circular solutions and innovations include projects and locations like the Sponge Garden, Luchtsingel (Air Canal), Recycled Park, Climate Proof ZoHo and the Floating Farm.
