Rotterdam Partners: promoter of the Rotterdam economy
Rotterdam Partners has the objective of strengthening the economy of Rotterdam and the region. We work for businesses, visitors and residents who are already based in the city or those who plan to visit or establish themselves in Rotterdam in the future. Rotterdam Partners has a number of core tasks. First of all, Rotterdam Partners is the link that connects, strengthens, and enhances local and regional networks. In addition, we facilitate the organisation of activities, respond to queries from those considering relocating to Rotterdam and work towards addressing economic issues. We also undertake initiatives to promote innovation in the Rotterdam economy. Finally, we bring together supply and demand in fields like tourism, business events and conferences.
Networks, Marketing and Communications
Rotterdam Partners is actively engaged in strengthening the Rotterdam economy. We do this by connecting organisations, people and networks in and around the city, by bringing together demand and resources on investment matters, and by actively communicating with local residents, visitors, professionals and students on the issues that matter to them. That's how we are working towards building strong connections that can serve the interests of Rotterdam's economic development and advance a positive image of the city and brand of Rotterdam both nationally and internationally.
Rotterdam Partners promotes dialogue and exchange of knowledge and experience between partners and networks in the city and the local authorities from a regional, national and international perspective. This dialogue takes place on multiple levels, including within the International Advisory Board and the Rotterdam Economic Council, and is a driver of Rotterdam's economic policy. Together, we define specific projects on relevant themes and in them unite the strengths of multiple stakeholders in the city. The Networks, Marketing and Communications department participates in and lends its knowledge and organisational strength to the Rotterdam Economic Council and other city-wide networks like Rotterdamse Nieuwe.
Rotterdam Partners' communications is directed towards current and potential visitors, residents, expats, the national and international travel industry, the business visitor market (MICE), new international commercial locations, established companies, partners, the media and other stakeholders. The Networks, Marketing and Communications department handles the production of target group-specific information, the development and production of online and offline communications resources, campaigns and the national and international media strategy, and organises or co-organises events. This makes the department a vital participant in informing and inspiring our target groups and boosting the image of Rotterdam. The department also fulfils a key role in the implementation of the Rotterdam city branding strategy and Joint Marketing to strengthen the Rotterdam brand.

International Trade & Investment
Rotterdam Partners creates and leverages opportunities for acquisition, expansion and international trade promotion for public and private parties in the Rotterdam region. The International Trade & Investment department is working towards a stronger economic and socio-economic climate for its target groups: new international companies, large and medium-sized established multinationals, internationally oriented businesses and the labour force of Rotterdam. This department is also actively engaged in informing and supporting expats, including through its Expat Desk located in the Rotterdam Info city promotion shop on the Coolsingel.
Overall, the goal is to position Rotterdam as a strong, dynamic urban region where you can find a place to work, live, and enjoy the good life. These efforts are to ensure that Rotterdam becomes and stays a big name on the world stage.

Convention Bureau & Tourism Board
Rotterdam Partners informs, inspires and advises national and international buyers and initiative-takers independently and at no cost about all Rotterdam has to offer in the area of tourism and the options for hosting business events and conferences in the city. The Convention Bureau & Tourism Board is responsible for approaching event organisers, conducting site inspections for potential clients, issuing prospectuses and getting intermediaries on board with promoting what Rotterdam has to offer. The department also maintains contacts with the business sector in Rotterdam active in the tourism and business visitor markets.

Rotterdam Partners strives to be an excellent and independent source of information on offerings for tourism, business travel and residence in the city. This information provision is oriented not only towards visitors and residents of Rotterdam, but towards the service providers in the city as well. The Hospitality department manages the Rotterdam Info city promotion shop on Coolsingel. Rotterdam Partners also operates the Rotterdam Info CS information point at Rotterdam Central Station, as well as other information points at major locations of interest throughout the city. Rotterdam Partners has developed training programmes for service providers to help enhance the experience and hospitality received by visitors and residents. The hospitality policy also includes distributing brochure material and Welcome Sets, as well as the processing of information requests received from the business community.
