“CleanTech is more than a nice catchphrase: it’s a necessity.” From 7-10 October Rotterdam Vice Mayor for Economic Affairs Barbara Kathmann leads a CleanTech mission with 30 companies to Singapore.

CleanTech is vital for strong and #sustainable cities. Rotterdam and Singapore face similar challenges, like limited natural resources, a critical waste issue and limited land area. Both are densely populated and deal with an aging population, putting well-being and productivity under pressure. Both work hard at innovative cleantech solutions to tackle these issues. The RotterdamSingapore CleanTech mission focusses on sharing knowledge and expertise, and finding new business opportunities in the field of CleanTech, benefitting both cities. Subthemes for this mission are Circularity, Waste, Mobility & Digitalisation

The mission is about exploring new business opportunities, meeting the right business partners during our matchmaking events and getting inside information from Singapore experts, learning about local initiatives and innovations and visiting the CleanTech Forum Asia. During this mission the Rotterdam delegates are meeting investors and joining a Meet the Buyer event, organised by the City of Rotterdam and esteemed partners.
