European Society for Paediatric Infectious Diseases (ESPID) conference comes to Rotterdam in 2020

European Society for Paediatric Infectious Diseases (ESPID), the biggest conference on paediatric infectious diseases in the world, is coming to Rotterdam in May 2020. This was announced on 1 June 2018 during the ESPID conference 2018 in Malmö. The conference in Rotterdam De Doelen ICC. 2500 participants from over 100 countries are expected to come to Rotterdam for four days.

Rotterdam won the international ESPD conference for 2020 based on a bid by Rotterdam Knowledge Ambassadors, Professor Annemarie MC van Rossum and Dr Pieter Fraaij from Erasmus MC/Sophia Children’s Hospital in Rotterdam. They received support in their bid from Rotterdam Partners and various partners in the city. Erasmus MC/Sophia Children’s Hospital have a good international reputation in the field of research into and the treatment of paediatric infectious diseases. The ESPID conference confirms this status and the strong position of Rotterdam in the Life Sciences & Health sector.
